What’s the difference between evidence-based and research-informed

Although the terms sound similar, there’s an important difference – evidence-based apps are ones that have been scientifically tested and found to work. On the other hand, research-informed apps were developed by looking at research and creating an app to teach the skills that work. However, the research-informed apps have not gone through the step of actually being tested for whether they’re effectively teaching the skills. We highlight this difference so that our users are fully informed about the apps that they use.
